Wholesale wallpaper? and Warehouse in the tri state area????

Bayonne, NJ(Zone 6a)

Does anyone know any links for wholesale or cut rate wallpaper. I'm finally getting serious about the new apartment. Now that gardening season is over ;-) I found some wallpaper but it's much too expensive. I found some sites but was wondering about what others have found.
Also any warehouses in new jersey or even new york. I am desperate. Costs are outrageous
Thank a heap

The only company that I have had personal experience with is http://www.decoratetoday.com (used to be American Blind and Wallpaper Factory. The paper was cheaper than I could find locally (even after shipping), and they were very friendly and helpful. I still think that it was pricey, though. They have most of their catalogs online, and they do have very good sales, if you can find something that you like in the sale section.

Good luck!!

Carol, here are a couple more to try:

Wallpetals: http://www.wallpetals.com/ (free UPS shipping)
USA Wallpaper: http://www.usawallpaper.com/

Trish, how was your experience with American Blind & Wallpaper? I got spooked when I came across a consumer website set up just to handle complaints about them.

I've also found that Home Depot and Lowe's do a pretty good job of keeping their prices competitive.

Good luck!

Is there a Dollar General store in your area? Some of the ones here have 15 foot borders, beautiful selections, for $2.00 a roll and a double roll of wallpaper (prepasted, modern, nice) for $5.00 a roll.

Actually my experience with ABWF was very good. Excellent customer service (and I needed it..had never hung paper before), prompt shipment, no complaints at all. I've also since heard bad things about the company. I don't know if I was just lucky, or if they have shaped up.

Let this old lady tell you how NOT to hang wallpaper. DO NOT hang it with you DH. It is the short cut to divorce court...even for very loving couples. When we had a wallpaper project coming up I would arrange with my best girl friend to be availabe to help him hang it, while I just did the "dipping" (why else have a best friend?). They worked well together, and made for a happier household. Jo

We have a lot of Dollar Generals around here, but I haven't noticed any wallpaper rolls. Must inquire though, as I need to repaper granddaughters' bedroom.

Family dollar also has the borders (1.50 for a regular roll and 2 for the sculpted edge rolls). I've used them instead of trim around windows and doors. It takes a little patience to get the corners cut right but much cheaper than replacing trim. I use the smaller sculpted ones for matting around a picture too. I'm too cheap to buy real matting.
