Texas Wildscape Native Seed Trade Thread #2

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

This thread is for trading Texas native plant seeds, no plants. Open to Texas members only.

Sign up period of time
November 20th to November 27th
During this time you can sign up by posting on this thread that you want to be part of it. You can post your seed list, but there will be no trading until November 28th.

Trading period of time
November 28th to December 4th
During this time we will trade but after December 4th the thread will be closed to trading so that we can proceed with mailing our trades.

You can dmail the person you are trading with to get their home address. Usually you would send that person a self stamped self addressed envelope for your seeds, but I think that if you are sending seeds to each other it is a wash out and it wouldn't be necessary. It would be best to discus this with that person to see what is best for both of you.

I hope this will be a very successful endeavor and that we will all benefit by growing lots of beautiful Texas native plants for our Wildscapes. Let us have Fun!!!

I might as well go ahead and post first.
I probably have 2 instead of one of many of those things listed but I am being a bit conservative. Many of those plants will be new for me so I cannot tell you about their growing conditions. All are native and most are not listed to be invasive. The pearly everlasting is sometimes listed as invasive so keep that in mind.

purple leather leaf (clemetis) - Frostweed
Damantia - DFW Dennis
Ruellia nudiflora - Allwild
American beauty berry - Allwild

Very good choices Everyone, I have been editing my list as the request come in, in case you don't know how to edit the list on thread #1 from #2 here is what you do.

Go to the post where the lists are and click on yours, it will come up in a new tab.

Click on the tab and you will see your list, to edit you have to click on a line at the upper left of the screen that says (in reply to ) when you click on it your list in the edit form will come up, then you click on Edit
and you can update your list as you assign seeds to people, I post those on my list, that way you know when you run out, otherwise you could be you could be promising seeds you no longer have.

You could check mine and see if I have you down correctly.

After we finish trading we can dmail each other with addresses and maybe reminders of the trades.
I hope I explained it right, or maybe it is clear as mud.

I have some S. penstemoniodes seed and it is a very pretty and long blooming plant, plus it is endemic to TX. This was its first year for me and I had it in pretty dry soil and it did well. I suspect a little better soil and maybe even partial shade and it might do even better. Of all the seed I have, I highly recommend trying this plant.
