Tropical Plants Have/Want Lists

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Syrumani set up the stickys for the African Violet forum, and did such a great job, I will quote her:

QUOTE: I think we should keep the rules for posting simple:

1. One post per member

2. No chatting. This way, it will cut down on browsing time to find the actual list for each member . . . does that make sense? Each member can go and edit their post as many times as they'd like. Does everyone agree? If so, post your lists, everyone!

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

I will save a spot as well. I will have to wait and see what makes it out of the greenhouse after this winter. We had a lot of cold days and I keep it minimally heated lol. I think I have probably lost a lot of bananas and tropical hibiscus grrr. Hopefully they will return. from the roots/corms.
I am also starting a ton of new stuff from seeds so will see how that goes.

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9b)

Available in the fall - October onwards.

Begonia - cuttings of 'Looking Glass' also 'Odorata Alba' fragrant, very large, and 'Don Miller' cuttings
Canna, a tall NOID with plain blue/green leaves and delicate soft orange flowers. Very vigorous!
Daylily, medium height red with gold throats, in bloom already (early April) and re-blooms all summer here! Multiplies well, too.
Louisiana Iris 'Black Gamecock' - does well in wet areas, and around ponds.
Brugmansias - cuttings of 'Monster White', Cherub, and several starts of Charles Grimaldi well rooted in pots.
Heliconia 'Lobster Claw'
Loquat seedlings from my neighbor's tree with delicious small fruit, courtesy of the birds and squirrels. Well rooted in starter mix.
Achimenes, purple and also white flowered variety.
EE's - Colocasia 'Blue Hawaii' starts bare-root with good tubers and one or more leaves.

I want every plant but need to wait for spring to accept anything in trade. I'll gladly send plants now in trade for things you will have in springtime (March-ish) or for postage.

Sadly, I don't have room for anything more just now.

much thanks.. and jealous of u all in the south.. lol still winter here.. sigh

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Tropicalnut, now you need to post your 'HAVE' list in order to trade!

(Zone 9a)

I have two tiny Queen Victoria Agaves for postage. They are small enough that each could probably fit into a bubble envelope so the postage should be reasonable. They came from a propagation class I took at Plant Delights last summer. These are seedlings. The pots are 3" so you can tell how small they are.

LMK if you are interested.
