My soil is slightly alkaline, can I mix powederd sulfur with water and inject it into my drip irrigation system to lower the ph?
Acidifying irrigation water
I know this is old. Sulfur will not dissolve in water and would plug the drip system.
Quite a few succulent growers add some vinegar to their water to reduce the alkalinity. I haven't tried it yet but am going to do more research to figure out the benefits and how much to add.
If it is only slightly alkaline, maybe just one application of sulfer powder might be sufficient. Hand-scatter on a non-windy day?
Mix some sulfer into anything you might amend the soil with (compost, leaves, manure) and throw or rake that around evenly?
