Red-tailed Black Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus banksii)
Thanks Kell. We have them visiting at home. I find them much shier than the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo.
To be honest, I love everything about Australia! LOL Well not the spiders or snakes but even your beetles are gorgeous!
The most dangerous are jellyfish; the Box Jellyfish and a tiny jellyfish, the Irukandji. I'd take my chances with a Great White Shark than with either of them (absit omen). :)
Oh no! You mean when I see all those gorgeous shoreline photos, there are deadly jellyfish lurking below the surface? I am now trying to remember if I have ever seen people swimming in those shots.
The box jellyfish sounds just awful. And I read "Once relegated to Southern Oceans, off Australia, the Box Jelly now populate Thailand and Japan and Israel... and the Florida Straits, with recent alarming swarms up and down the Atlantic Coast of Florida."
