Guess they are young Pear fruits

Thanks for suggestion. They are not pear. It was a small bushy plant, the leaves are different.

Could be from a Japanese quince?
Let me google the Latin name, even myself, a Romance languuage speaker, have problems with this ONE!

Chaenomeles ???

I sometimes have a fruit or two fro my bush but in some parks I have seem bushes loaded with yellow fruit.

Thanks a lot Fixpix and Growin
Yes it is Chaenomeles japonica
And yes Fixpix you don't have to take it back. It is commonly grown in Kashmir and other hill stations, but have never seen it in fruit...........This one was photographed here in Sunnyvale in California where I am on short visit. I should have mentioned it originally.
