Please say a prayer

brainerd, MN(Zone 4a)

Please say a prayer for my friends. Their dane 'Dudley' is having a crisis. In the last few days, he has gone from playful dog to sluggish with pain in his neck to paralyzed from the neck down as of today. He is too old for true Wobblers, but something is absolutely wrong. He is in the ER now and a decision is needing to be made.
Pray for Dudley, pray for my friends - who have a horrible decision to make tonight.

Thank you

Heavy prayers said for Dudley & his family

Dudley stayed overnight at the ER on IV's of fentynol and steroids. If there is any improvement, they will be able to have him referred to the U of M for a CT scan. Vet is thinking blown disc in his neck or a tumor at this point. Either way, it came on very sudden - within a matter of days. Any kind of surgery would be upwards of $15,000.
Havent heard any more on his condition yet this morning.
Love you Duds.

I went thru this last week. Its so horrible and hurts so bad. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with them. I know there are so many humans suffering, but it still hurts to your very core. I always say NO MORE, but then figure its so much better to give them a good life, than to worry about how bad it hurts at the end. Lucky for the pet, its peaceful.

I am sorry for your loss too gardenglory.

We have so much to offer them, and they ask for nothing in return. They provide unconditional love. How can anyone turn away from that. It is very difficult to lose anything we love. Two legs or four (or one or three if that be the case).
It is even hard having to give them up for one reason or another-regardless of how long you've had them.
