I just want to make sure a Hoary isn't sneaking over here. :) These two photos look dark enough to be Commons, but the bill seems a bit thicker. Because we are submitting this for Project Feeder Watch, I want to make sure of the ID.

Thank you.

Common Redpoll.

The left bird is almost too dark to be a Common, but since Lesser Redpoll (which is this dark) doesn't occur in N America, it can't realistically be that.

Bradford, Canada

I had a similar bird at my feeder on the 7th January in Bradford Ontario. I think it's a Redpoll but I am a real amateur at bird identification. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Yep, Common Redpoll, female.

Thank you Resin. I am amazed at the vast knowledge of birds you have. :)
