SOLVED: Plant ID please

My son works in landscaping and lawn service. He brings me orphan plants every now and again. This week I came home to find 3 small pots of plants which he left for me! He doesn't know what they are. No blooms and they are sitting in too wet of soil. I'm about to fix that today by adding some drier potting mix to the pots. They are under lights right now to try to dry them out a little as well as provide some warmth since it's gotten colder here.

I don't recognize their leaves. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what they might possibly be by looking at these two photos (2 different plants of the same)?

Thanks so much!

Looks like primrose to me or possibly a Gloxinia?

Agreed, likely Primula vulgaris.

Thank you! It looks a lot like Primrose leaves to me, too, when I do a google search! I have never grown them before, so wasn't familiar with this plant species. Not sure if it is Primula vulgaris or some other Primula species. I appreciate the help from both of you folks! :-)
