Good morning. Sending great big (((((hugs))))) to Bonnie this morning. It is no wonder that Swiper was having litter box issues with all that going on inside him. I am hoping that you get good test results back and that it is IBS which can be treated.

I slept a whole 3 hours longer last night. Didn't awaken till 7am. Whoopee, maybe that will make a big difference in how I feel today.

Elsie, hoping that you got another day to rest and recouperate. With the weekend, that should put you feeling well by the dreaded Monday.

Sandy, thanks for the new thread and the beautiful picture of Andre.

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Beautiful Andre! Thanks Sandy!

Bonnie sending hugs and scritches and the biggest wishes for you and Swiper!

Have to go and find breakfast for me and you know who!

Lafayette, NJ(Zone 6a)

Bonnie, big hugs and prayers for you.

Sandy, thanks for the new thread and the lovely Andre picture.

I didn't sleep well last night so I called in sick today. I am hoping that by Monday I will feel better.

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Ohh Bonnie! Here is hoping Swiper can be treated with medication and be around for a long time!

somewhere, PA

Good Morning!

I had a post all composed when my laptop decided it was time to restart for a software installation.
Won't repeat all except to give (((((((((( Bonnie & Swiper )))))))))))))))

Tam

New Smyrna Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Good morning and thank you for your good wishes and prayers. Swiper was so spooked by yesterday's ordeal at the vets he is still keeping his distance from me. A bath, ultra sound, and rabies vaccine were too much for him. Right now he is hiding out on the dining room chairs. He desperately needs his valium, but I cannot get to him.

Elsie I think staying at home today was a wise choice. I bet Chloe is enjoying having a playmate with her today.

Debbie happy to learn that FIL's surgery went well and he will be going home. Now the attention can be focused on you!

Tammy it is good that you were able to compare those refrigerators now you can be certain that the one you selected is the best choice for you. Oh, I love how well Truffles has her humans trained. She is a riot!

Vicki what did you fix for breakfast?

BonnieB hope your extra hours of sleep helped you,. Mine did not. I am still sleepy.

Well I finally got the valium into Swiper, Maybe I will be able to get the amoxicillin in him later.

Patti could not get a sitter to stay with Frank tonight for girls night out so she asked to move it to Saturday which we did. I decided to make it a St. Paddy's Day party. So that's what we are doing. I am preparing a broccoli, cheese, wheat beer, soup, congealed lime/pear/pecan salad, corned beef and carrots with orange marmalade/Irish whiskey glaze, buttered cabbage, and hash brown potato casserole. Everyone is coming "wearin' the green"

Gotta go cook. BBL.

Bonnie

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Bonnie DS left a banana choco chip bread here and I have been having a nice slice of that the last few mornings. Poor Swiper.

Lyndonville, NY

Home for a bit, get to do laundry and take care of a couple things here, then back on the road
very early Monday morning for afternoon appointment. Going to try and get it done in a
day trip.

More later, missed you all.

(((((Swipe)))))) hugs

Sandy, so so enjoying this calendar!!!

Debbie

somewhere, PA

I'm gonna have to get some video of Truffles when I sing to her. I showed Gary this afternoon & he sure did get a kick out of it.

Bonnie -glad your big guy had his vallium. That should help with the next med.

I bought raw peanuts by accident. Yuck!
Tam

Lyndonville, NY

I love raw peanuts, put them out for squirrels!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Debbie glad you get yours, and that was fast.

Sandy and Andre

somewhere, PA

Debbie - do you love to put them out for the squirrels or do you love raw peanuts?

I think I forgot to say thank you for the new thread Sandy.
Tam

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

I got my calendar too, Sandy..thank you so much!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

you are welcome.

s and a

Lyndonville, NY

Tam, I boil mine in salt for a few hours, OR eat them raw. I love them. AND...I share with
the squirrels usually also.

somewhere, PA

I got a wonderful surprise in the mail today as well. Thank you Sandy!

OK - which do you think is the better photo for my passport?
Tam

#1

Lyndonville, NY

They will want #2 Looking straight on, head straight ahead.

somewhere, PA

Do they have to get what they want? That's actually why I included #2. Both are close to face on and I'm looking at the camera in both.

"Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open"

I'm thinking they both fit the criteria.

Lyndonville, NY

I'm not sure. Did you have DH take those or are they from post office or DMV? DH's had to be done there, with proof of
his ID and such.

somewhere, PA

The rules on the .gov website say you can take your own & mail them in with the application & old passport. So its fine that DH took them for me.

Tam

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Tam, I think # 1 also. I didn't know that you could apply through the mail. We got the applications, but then had to go to the PO for the photos and then they mailed them out from there. I have to look, think mine is about to expire, so want to renew rather than have to go through all that again. I think you do need to make a video and put it on YouTube. That would be hilarious. I am sure that there are not many cats who would respond to singing. Or maybe there are!

Debbie, somehow I thought you would be gone all weekend. Maybe I just was assuming. My DS says that when you assume anything you automatically become the first three letters of that word!

Elsie how are you feeling? I hope the extra day off work is just what was needed to get you over than hump and be on the mend permanently. Is Chloe being a good nurse for you?

Bonnie your girls night out sounds really good. And with that St Patrick's Day theme and the food sounds wonderful. I am sure that everybody will have a good time. I have to get in my closet and see if I have anything green to wear to church on Sunday. A friend told me that she takes this seriously and will pinch anybody who isn't wearing green! Don't know where that custom came from.

Melva is your helper back to work on the house yet? Is she taking the death of her pet badly? What has Corky been up to lately?

Sandy, wow you have been busy with the calendars. I didn't collect the mail today, so hope that I have something to tell you tomorrow.

Vicki, so what was up with you today?

Tersese, you disappeared when you got home. Did you have your Dr appointment yet? I know that there is bunches to catch up on, but get back in here and tell us what is going on with you. You said something about having to be in WI soon, when will that be? Does anybody stay at the campgound all winter?

Adina, hoping that your work days are going well, and that you have the weekend to do some fun things with Nicholas.

DH left about 10am this morning to drive to Indiana with a load of hay that he sold to an Amish friend. He has been taking JohnJohn with him when he goes to feed, so he decided that he would take him with him today. They will stay overnight and return sometime tomorrow afternoon. Hope everything is going well for both of them. I think the dog will behave, because he loves to ride.

I have just been lazy this afternoon. Sat and read then watched some tv, DS wanted me to come drive him to the $$ store this afternoon, so took Mr. B and that was his afternoon ride. He has been in the recliner asleep since we got home.

Think I will take a book and go to bed and read myself to sleep.

somewhere, PA

BonnieB - glad you had a lazy day! Yes - you can fill in & print an application from the gov website, attach a passport photo (many places like Walmart, Walgreens, Target etc) will print out your photo. Then you send these in along with your current passport. They suggest registered mail. I was surprised at how expensive they are now - $110!

Tam

Lyndonville, NY

With Izzy being sick, Shannon getting over from being sick.....and DH's Larry The Cable Guy outting tomorrow night...we had to
come back today. Paying two nights at a "safe" hotel was quite expensive also, and the "in laws" are staying with SIL. Also, didn't
know I was going to have to be back on Monday until this morning.

Saw my doctor, went over scans, he doesn't like what he is seeing and wants me to see a specialist. I figured would take four to six
weeks to get in. Apparently he has friends in high places as I have an appointment on Monday with two specialists. One a
Cardio-thoracic specialist and the other for a skin biopsy to do nerve testing on peripheral nerves in my legs.

Going to try and do it in a day trip, leaving here at 6:00 a.m. Appointments are at Noon & 3:00, so will come back home
straight after we hope.

Furkids are all thrilled to see me, and we had a mini-nap together. I am exhausted so heading to bed shortly.

Debbie

somewhere, PA

Debbie - I'm glad this is moving fast. At long last! Good idea to come home & get some R&R.

Good night everyone!
Tam

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I hope the rest arrive quickly thought I think Dianne's and Adina's will take longer.
I mailed a stack of them Wed.

going to call it a night.

Sandy and Andre

New Smyrna Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

BonnieB you can renew a current passport online, but not one that has expired so don't wait too long to start the process.

Tam I like photo #1 because it has a sinister look to it, but why push the envelope with Customs & Immigration? Is it really worth the grief? Go with the safe choice, #2.

(((((Debbie))))) hugs and prayers and safe travels.

Swiper is head butting my arm as I type. I think a few scritches are in order followed by an attempt to pill the cat.

Here I go. Good night.

Bonnie

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Wow Debbie that is fast. Did he give you any idea of treatment? Well at least coming home to check on the furkids probably made you feel better about them being with your human kids watching over them.

Tammy, is that for a renewal? Well guess it is, if you had to send the passport in. I don't remember what we had to pay for the original. But we did apply shortly after the new law requiring a passport to go to Canada and Mexico went into effect. I had traveled to the Bahamas once with only my birth certificate and didn't have any problems, but after the law was passed, didn't want to have any problems ANYWHERE!

Lafayette, NJ(Zone 6a)

Thought these were just perfect. hehe

Does anyone take a beta blocker? I just started one and it makes me very tired.
Bonnie B, Haley has worked one day, we still have a lot to do, and the party is one week from tomorrow. She says she is having trouble sleeping...but I think she will be okay.

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Elsie, now that is one comfortable looking pair of glasses!

Up and ready to start my day with whatever jumps in my path. WL again were wrong, but too dark to see what the skies portend. Probably just cloudy and no rain.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Good morning

Good Morning!

Loretta - what a practical item! Glasses cozies. Who wants to put cold glasses on when they could slip on a cozy first!

Bonnie - good point. I had both printed out. I'll pick one and send everything in today.

BonnieB - we went took a trip Mexico in the 1990s. DH & I went to show our passports/ID and he found his passport was expired. AAAHH! So he got into Mexico with a drivers license. He barely got back into the states with it. He'd probably still be there if it was after 911! If you have a passport less than 15yrs old & meet a few other criteria, you can renew by mail. It does take a little while so plan ahead:

Elsie, there is not enough pink in them for you. lol

Shannon has been home alone, she is only child here now....and I worry about her just as much
as the furbabies. I think she has cellulitus in her arm from one of the IVs that blew. Going to be
trying to reach her doc this morning.

I still have my PJs on, not normal for me, just feel sluggish.

Lafayette, NJ(Zone 6a)

I am up but not too awake. I am going out to lunch with a friend.

Check out the Bing photo.

Lyndonville, NY

That is a cute picture, I still like the panda's that were up a few days ago.

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Morning!

Deb so glad something is finally being done and fast. Poor Shannon. Of course you feel sluggish you just had a whirlwind trip with more planned!

Maybe DH and I should get a passport. Someday we might want to go somewhere! LOL

Tam I liked the first one but go with the second. Play it safe it is a government thing after all!

BonnieB my sinus's had kicked in and I was laying around before work hoping the pain would go away. Didn't work. So went to work like that. Head is better so far today. I think it is our weather as it is so unsettled. Snow and then stop for 24 hours and then more snow. It is snowing right now. Monday another system is suppose to go thru. Just what we need.

The snow was so bright even without the sun yesterday I was squinting to drive. Made my head hurt worse. Took tylenol on top of the sinus meds. That helped.

Melva hope she can help you as you have so much planned.

Elsie loved the glass cozies. But it would be too warm for my face.

The one girl I work with has a mane of hair. Her and GF were drinking and they decided to color it. Top half blonde and underneath left dark. To brassy of a gold for my taste. But yesterday she had it twisted up on her head and it was really pretty. They were going to add burgundy streaks but she is liking it the way it is. I agree.

The summer at work is going to be upset. The boss has a huge lump the size of a baseball in her breast. The Dr. said a very aggressive but easy to treat one. This week they will be doing a biopsy on her left side. They plan on doing all treatments first to reduce the size. She plans on working as much as possible as she is the type always on the go. She is just this little tiny dynamo So please say a pray for her now and then as she is a good boss and becoming a good friend to me. Plus she is a young Grandma to 7. I guess her age to be maybe 45. So another reason I have been quiet this week. Too much going on. Not like some of you but for my quiet life it is.

Am thinking of cutting the vegie garden back. To just what we can eat. No canning or freezing or at least very little. Should be able to handle the flower gardens just fine then.

Finally slept a little later today. Feel more rested and of course the morning is flying by. Would someone tell work to do that instead!

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Elsie I did check the picture and it is cute. Then I looked at the ones for the week. They always have such great pictures and I never think to look at them!

somewhere, PA

I'm back. I went with #2. Still looks better than my 2003 photo w/that old fat face. :-) The application w/photo, check & current passport are on their way. The website its currently taking 4-6wks and I leave in 10-11wks. Should have margin for issues.

Vicki - Glad to hear you are cutting back on all the summer work. I don't think I could make it through the year w/o my roasted tomato sauce. Just save some of your favorites from the garden. Oh that poor woman with such a large & fast grower cancer!

Love the bing picture Loretta!

Debbie - I hope you can get some rest today!

Tam
