Adenium Seed Pods

Vieques, PR

These two pods occurred naturally.

I've clumsily tried Wilfred's (WQP) approach, and it worked once.

These two naturals are probably related to the bumblebees I've seen emerging from the blossoms these last few weeks --some appeared ghost-like, so thickly clad in white pollen.

Wilfred's brush technique is a great alternative: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1010662/

Good luck with these seed pods. I haven't had much luck at all getting seeds from my Adenium obesum.

Here's latest progress.

I have seeds and pods galore...........ya'll want them?

I would put them in the fridge in a plastic bag until I had a lot, then trade them to the guy who sold us the Desert Rose at the Farmer's Market. He grew all of his from seed. But we haven't done that recently, so I have lots.

Thanks, Morgan! If you're serious, I'll definitely take a few, many thanks.

This is fun to watch it grow. I am trying Wilfred's technique. Oh that reminds me I better go get my #3 brush-I am trying to pollinate daily...

Morgan, do you have any seeds left?

Jennifer Lynne - I will check. When they seed I just take the ripe pod and refrigerate it. One of the growers taught me that trick.....said they last years.

Ok thanks!
