Anyone know what this is?

Tampa, FL(Zone 9b)

I was given a clipping to this and the person who gave it to me called it a chai tree, but I have not been able to correctly identify it. It was a small clipping and now, within a year it has grown to be a 6 foot tall tree, which I have no room for. The first couple of pics are from July.

Nope, sort of looks like my Marigold tree leaves. I gave one away at the round up. It would eventually get yellow flowers, by the end of this month.

Put it in the plant ID forum. They are really good over there.

I posted this on the plant ID forum and although they incorrectly identified it...their ID led me to...

Well nice to know what it is, I've never heard of it. Guess you can eat it. I have no room either.
