Lots of green tomatoes

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 4b)

Anyone have a good and simple recipe for sweet green tomato relish out there?

Only if you want to include peppers and onions and lots of sugar?

Sure, options are good and thanks for responding so quickly.

HERE GOES Joyous1:

SWEET PICKLE RELISH

8 green toms
8 green peppers
8 red peppers
4 large onions

Boil in own liquid 15 minutes, then drain. (I use a blender to chop the above and I keep enough liquid to just about cover when boiling in own liquid for the the 15 mins.)

Add:
7 c sugar
4 c cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
2 Tbsp. celery seed

Boil 15 min and can. Optionals: Add 1/2 tsp salt to the qt. Add a couple tsp turmeric.

NOTE: I ALWAYS can this relish in pints. I love this recipe and make it every year, some times multiple batches. The color depends on whatever I have in the way of colorful peppers.

Thank you very much!

You are very welcome. The recipe is an old family recipe. I do not boiling water bath it, which makes it even easier.

Let me know if you make, how it turns out.

I have more to make, too.

I took a jar to a Chili Supper over the weekend and one of the ladies told me, "I love this relish, I put it on my hotdog and in my chili, too".

GOOD LUCK!
