What to do with "old" Kindle???

Mid Gulf Coast, TX(Zone 9b)

Good Morning!

I upgraded my keyboard Kindle to the new Kindle Fire - does anyone know if there is a place to donate the "old" one? It really isn't that old, it is the second generation, I think......anyway there is nothing wrong with it and I hate for it to just stay in a drawer if there is someone out there that could use it....it has a very nice cover and the charger.

I know it doesn't have any resale value, but I will gladly donate to a worthy cause.

You might check with the local school.

Good morning! :)

You might also want to check with Amazon to see what to do, if anything, about account association with your Kindle. (not sure how that works). :)

I de-registered my old Kindle from my Amazon account, restored it to factory settings (to delete all my books, etc.), and then donated it to my local Goodwill thrift shop. They probably sold it for $5 at most but it's alittle something for them, I'm happy with that.
