My Poor Desert Rose

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

My desert rose lost all its leave and branches 3 years ago, during a freeze here in Florida. It never sent out new branches or leaves. It just sits in its pot, still firm and green. How do I get it to start to grow again?

What are those little fuzzy things coming out of the caudex? Are you sure its an Adenium obesum?

Those fuzzy little things are air plants that grow on plants, branches etc., here in South Florida. They don't harm the plants. They collect moisture from the air. I have them on the north side of queen palms, and crepe myrtle that is dormant right now.

Interesting on the air plants. Like Spanish Moss?
I don't know why your plant isn't growing or rotting. I assume it gets water. I would think since its in Florida is plenty warm. I guess if its getting some water and bright light and its warm I would say to give it time. Until it rots its still alive and should grow sometime. Good luck.
