Sore on bunnys nose tip

Richmond, TX(Zone 9a)

What is it? Noticed it today, not there yesterday. Single female in outdoor shaded cage. Lots of Mosquitos in Houston. Other than this, in excellent health. Not fixed since lives alone and no other bunnies in area.

sounds like some kind of insect bite. keep an eye on it for sure. when she comes in heat, bunnies will come from all corners of the universe! lol

that looks more like ringworm or some other fungal infection. i think i would either take her to your vet or try an anti-fungal cream. since rabbits clean themselves like a cat, it's possible she could ingest a topical ointment so i would feel safer getting an opinion from a vet.

You mean you're not a vet? Lol. Tks

Did you take her to the vet? I agree that it looks an awful lot like ringworm.

Thanks you all for your input. DH thought we ought to wait as it seemed like a sore from him maybe trying to get out of cage. It is getting better. I also thought it looked a lot like ringworm but keep forgetting to get some Lotrimin
