Help with Jewelweed Recipe

Miamisburg, OH(Zone 6a)

I'm not sure if this is the right forum since I could not find a general "Help" section, but a week ago, I made a Jewelweed Salt Scrub with plant oils, jewelweed that I chopped using a food processor, and pure salt. Over the past week, it has become thicker and is now the consistency of paste or glue, not like my other handmade scrubs. I will try out the scrub later today, but what in jewelweed is causing this pasty, glue-like consistency which I've never seen in any of my other scrubs. Thanks.

I would need my ref book at home, but I believe there are many plants that were used as flours after drying, they could thicken when used. Jewelweed isnt a local plant for me, so I am shaky on this point...

Ok. not good as flour. not especially good for eating as its best as an emetic( throwing up). I will watch the thread and see what happens, but it was used in poultices and an antifungal.
