What happened here

Belleville , IL(Zone 6b)

I planted seeds from last year and this is one of the plants that came up. They were mixed with all sorts of seeds like purpura and nil . This leaf is as big as my whole scanner area nearly and the tiny little yellow blossom is all it produces. Looks like some sort of male flower. Never saw this before. The long stem that contains the "flower" was very hard to break loose from the vine.

Windy, Can't tell anything from these pics. Send a pic of the open flower when it blooms
again. Maybe that will help. Also send these pics to the plant id forum
While the leaf is as large as a purp leaf, the tiny yellow flower would indicate that its not
a purp.
