BBQ sauce

Portage, WI(Zone 5a)

I finally decided I should be making my own BBQ sauce instead of buying such. Much research via Google told me the main ingredients will be: Ketchup, onion, garlic, mustard, vinegar (I have been getting into malt vinegar lately,) Worches. sauce, honey (actually I use agave nectar for my main sweetener now,) and a hot sauce. Striacha (red bottle, green top is the only way to go, IMO.) Proportions up to you. My very first batch turned out wonderful (not that I may be biased.) Better than anything I ever bought. Just made my 2nd batch. Added some minced black garlic. There is separate thread on this subject. Give it a try and let us know what works for you. Gene

The addition of the black garlic sounds yummy. DH makes his own rubs for smoking meats - wonder how the black garlic would taste in that.
