SOLVED: Flowering tree

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

This tree is about 15 - 20 feet tall, mashed up against a building just barely peeking out for me to see. It's about to absolutely burst into bloom.

Hi Floridian, when you get some seeds from the seed pods please keep me in mind. Thanks

Thanks Jen, for all your help. Purpurea it is. I'll add it to the database. I will get seeds for those who want them if you let me know this plant is not considered invasive or noxious in your area. It's really frustrating to have so many beautiful plants on the 'noxious' list here and to know that 1 zone away they aren't a problem at all! I guess the tradeoff is year round growing so I shouldn't complain too much!!
