flowering starfish cactus (stapeliad)

Desert Hot Springs, CA(Zone 3a)

Todays blooms on my varigated starfish cactus. More than 2 dozen blooms and buds. Notice the seed pods. I've been told this is a rare occurance. Love these plants.

That's a really nice healthy plant. But I can't see variegation. Which part? Can you post another photo showing the variegation?

What is unusual? Seedpods? Or flowers and seed pods at the same time?

I don't know anything about these plants but I have been fascinated with them ever since seeing huge patches of them inside the crater at Diamond Head.

That's a cool looking plant!

Follow up on my original stapelia post (orbea variegata). My seed pods developed and finally opened. Have 100's of seeds. Will trade or send me a stamped envelope and I'll send you some.
