mighty fine crinum. the only crinums I like are the ones with stiff bayonet-like foliage. the drapey ones look messy to me.

And speaking of dame Marcelle, is she still in biz? I couldn't find her online

I Tried calling after finding her web site closed or gone. Phone is down.

I just got off phone with Merrill O'Neil. As far as he knows, she is OK but he was gong to find out and let me know.

A problem my crinum has is the blade gets so long and heavy that it breaks and the center of leaf sticks out. If you are not careful you get poked in the eye.

I have the same prob w/ my asiaticum procerum. I think Hanibals dwarf has the perfect foliage--short, upwardly stiff but won't poke you
