tropical permaculture site and jackfruit information

mulege, Mexico

There is a site called which has some useful information on growing tropical fruits.

For those of you interested in Jackfruit, the fresh seeds from a ripe jackfruit I bought in Ensenada are sprouting wildly. One seedling succumbed to damping off but at least a dozen others are looking good.

As the dragonfruit which were planted about ten years ago are beginning to give us a significant crop it is encouraging to have another food plant coming along.

I found that site a number of years ago, although haven't been there for a while. Some really good information. Jackfruit seed does germinate quite easily. You'll soon be over run with trees. Mine are fruiting at the moment.
