Hostas in Zone 10b????

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10b)

I noticed a thread from 2014 had two posts from people in 10b - like me. I really want hostas. Anybody know what happened to the 10b hostas? Are they doing ok?

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

I was at a local nursery here in central FL, and they had "Sun Hosta" -- I have a photo on my phone... I also saw them at Walmart this morning.... to me they look like AlboMarginata and Aero Marginata ... thin-ish leaves and the guy at the nursery said they are susceptible to slugs/snails.

I do not know if they go all the way to zone 10b, but they are supposed to do well in dappled shade here in 9a & b.

Thanks for the response. The Sunset western garden book tells me that the plantanegia? Series will grow here, so now to find some small ones is the challenge. I don't have ambitions to be a collector so can well do with the less expensive and if they turn out to be annuals at least I will have tried. Syb
