Bess Bergin...an oldie but goodie
My first Iris of 2016
Just I.reticulata 'Eyecatcher' is in flower. Very early on a first year planting. I recommended it.
No iris yet for me, in fact, the very first crocus just opened (planted close to the foundation). The iris will be a while, yet.....so it's nice to see the pics !
The leaves of those came up in Nov. Strange temps. they are quite pretty--a couple flowered on March 2nd before the snow.
No iris YET for me either. I do have lenten rose, crocus and daff's in bloom. When is the best time to fertilize bearded iris? Any suggestions?
Checked on whether to pick up reticulata bulbs. Breeder says 6 of one or 6 of another. Don't know if I will do so.
I've always left mine in the ground, Lucy.......and some spread, while others gradually decline.
