Well, sort of, an evening drive, with ferry ride, to the Hoh Rain Forest. We also went Whale Watching (Humpbacks and Finback Whale, no Orcas this time), hiked in the Alpine meadows, went Beachcombing, and even went to Forks, WA, where they filmed "Twilight" a movie about Vampires and Werewolves.
Probably the most amazing part- we camped for 3 nights, I never used any bug repellent. I got one mosquito bite. I love Washington.

Hmm... trying to come up with anything close
We sure got you beat for mosquitos!

Scott County, KY(Zone 5b)

C'mon, Wee...

The folks that explored that area and reported back - left from St. Louis. Voyage of Discovery, as I recall.

To which I'd add: they started and fitted out their crew over here in Louisville - where the Clark family had settled.

Took us an evening drive, L&C two years to get to the Pacific.
