REFRESHING dog treats gone hard :-(

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Just a shot in the dark here ..

I bought a bag of the new milkbone dental treats .. dogs loved them .. BUT .. unfortunately the bag got left open overnight :-(
The next day they were HARD as opposed to 'semi hard' ..
I don't like giving the dogs really really HARD treats ..
Anyone have an idea as to how to refresh them ? Or, are they now bear food :-(

Thanks a bunch ..

Have you tried contacting Milkbone about it? I'm wondering if a slice of bread in a bag with them might do the trick. It works with brown sugar.

No I haven't Elsie .. but, perhaps I will ..

I may try the bread trick overnight .. it works for brown sugar :-)

Thanks so much

Really hard treats are good at helping keep teeth clean and tarter free .Also will clean tarter off teeth . Just saying .

Thanks Digger .. I bought the treats for the tartar thing .. but, one of our Westies just had dental surgery, so, I am trying to avoid really hard snacks.
They do well with baby carrots and ordinary milk bone or like treats .. but these milkbone dental "chews" have turned to concrete .. all 3 of the dogs had a tough time with them, and one of them about choked .. so .. either I soften 'em up, or, their bear food .. :-(

I PROMISE to try the bread slice today :-)

ELSIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It worked :-)
I was going to throw the bones outback, and, as I removed the piece of bread, I decided to try and snap a bone in half .. BINGO .. it worked !!!
The bones have softened ...

Lets hear it for good old fashioned procedures :-)

That is great - I'm so glad it worked!
