I am helping with a community garden for the winter here near Dade City Florida. I am from Pennsylvania so obviously the plants can be quite different. I would like to help in suggesting some plants that this garden does not have. I wonder if anyone here is growing any of the following in zone 9. Brunnera, heuchera, celandine poppy, epimedium, or aralia cordata. Obviously I need something for shade that is not too invasive. Thanks so much. This group really wants some help in making their garden more interesting.
Plants for central Florida
Sad that now one posted here for you. Did you get your project completed? Most of what you posted aren't that well suited for Central FL. Have you tried looking at the Native Plant Society's web site for suggestions on native plants? http://www.fnps.org/
rteets, sorry we weren't here to answer questions. Send me a D-Mail when you get back and I will help you find those different plants.

Thanks to both of you. I am just now checking on this thread - after many months of no one answering I gave up. I will try to contact you, Sugarweed, when I get back to Florida in November. We are still trig to find some different plants..
