That non-native chinaberry tree

Fort Worth, TX

If you want to watch butterflies at this time of year, the chinaberry tree, immigrant that it is, is the place to watch. It isn't the place to photograph if it is 25 ft tall. I have Giant swallowtails, either Monarch or Viceroy butterflies, Red Admirals, several kinds of Sulphur or yellow butterflies, mainly small, and possibly painted lady. I usually have queen butterflies but haven't definitely identified. The tree is STILL in bloom after a week and the yard still smells fabulous
