If it is, you dont want it in your garden.

Zelene is correct. Other reasons you probably don't want it is a rather sloppy growth habit and lots of little thorns that make pruning it an unpleasant chore.

There are dwarf, and various color varieties. I am not sure if there are non-flowering types (or varieties that do not produce seed).
