What is this destroying my garden?

La Porte, IN

Left on vacation for a week and came back to all my tomato plants with branches like this. Seems to be spreading quickly.

I have the same thing! If anyone could share some info, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I think it's a fungus of some kind. Will any fungicide work?

Jackson, MO(Zone 6b)

I think it's a virus. The only thing I know is to pick off the limbs that have it on and burn them. Putting down straw around the plants can help keep it ( virus) at bay if that is what it is.

blight is always a sad sight!

Daconil will slow things down if started early enough. Blight, whether early or late, is definitely a sad sight. This is not a virus.

Edited to say virus and blight are systemic conditions. Nothing here indicates virus.
