This seems to have exploded from nowhere.

Maybe I'm just not observant but this large bush (~3' rough globe) seems to have sprung up in no time out of nowhere. Some plant ID apps have tentatively ID'd it as American Black Nightshade but I'm not sure. Thoughts?

It does look like a nightshade (Solanum sp.) There are several similar species, all equally weedy.

Pull it out, then? I.e., it offers no benefits (attractive or pollinator friendly)?

Nightshades proliferate wildly. Unless you like it a LOT, pull it out now.

Thanks, and done. It was in a strange place: in a bed I'd planted and in a spot where I might well have intentionally planted something. I let it grow because I couldn't figure out if I'd put it there on purpose or not. Then, almost overnight, it was huge.
