SOLVED: Tree identification, growing everywhere.

Lancaster, CA(Zone 8a)

I have these trees that my neighbor has all over his property. They seem to just pop up anywhere as if growing by a fast root or something. The older ones are getting quite big, as big as the house. I would take a picture of the big ones, but my neighbor is outside and I dont want him wondering why I have a camera pointed at his house lol. They are showing up all over my yard so was just curious as to what kind of plant/tree it is. Seems to be doing fine with very little water, as the property is mainly desert.

Looks like the dreaded Tree of Heaven, AKA Ailanthus altissima
Invasive in many parts of the world.
The give-away clue is 'growing everywhere'.

Yes thank you!! I googled it and its definitely what you described. Thanks a bunch, this thing really does seem quite invasive as its literally popping up all over both our yards. I dont mind really as its adding shade. Here in the SoCal desert temps run triple digits during the summer.
