CLOSED: Hummingbird

Aurora, CO(Zone 4a)

After many years of feeding birds in my backyard, I saw my very first hummingbird. What a thrill to photograph these little critters. Knowing nothing about hummingbirds, I'm asking my forum friends to please tell me what species this little guy might be.

Maybe a female Rufous Hummingbird, Selasphorus rufus.

Wow - according to my Birds of Colorado Field guide, it's a female Black-chinned hummingbird. Looks identical in the book, so I'm going with that...
