SOLVED: No ID, no ideas

Madison, AL

I bought this online and the seller had no idea what it was. I've done some basic research but I'm new to the cacti/succulent world and I have no clue as to what this might be. Can anyone help? I'd love care tips it there is anything special it requires.

Obviously this is a grafted cacti, growing requirement would the usual ones for cacti, use a well drained mix and as much light as possible

San Francisco, CA

It's not grafted; it's a normal Tephrocactus

Northern California, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, definitely a Tephrocactus.
It maybe Tephrocactus articulatus var. diadematus

or just plain Tephrocactus articulatus.

Could even be Tephrocactus articulatus var. inermis, the pinecone cactus which I have. It is so cool! I treat it just like my other cactus. But beware, the joints fall off easily so handle with care. When they grow a lot of new shoots, they look so cool!

Fabulous! Thanks to all of you for the info!
