Moved us over..
We came from here
Where is time going, imagine we cannot say Christmas is next month, guess for most of you Thanksgiving is still ahead.
I finished my Snowlady quilt, now where to put it
NOVEMBER Challenges, Organizing,Sharing of Ideas, all welcome...
Moved us over..
Hallmark movie on, last of Halloween totestaken to shed..very 1st toteibrought in had a snowman, the one we did in workshop that I must have sat with joanne and did one, finished, just needs to be wired and six slate gingerbread men, based coated just needs finishing touches, more for sale. Lol
Out for another tote, love the surprises I get when opening a tote
Thought of Susan found the Xmas shower curtain I made with large panel
I need to start all over with Christmas, we will have a tree this year but I had given everything away. It's been 7 years, rather excited about it. Fun to have kids in the house again too.
Betty you have outdone yourself with your beautiful quilts. I'm so ready to get back to sewing but will most likely not be until the new year with all we have to do and unpack.
Excited for you as well..
When do you start the move south?
Glad Iím doing it today, itís mild, rain stopped, perfect day to take on this task, know itís early but sure beats doing it in a blizzard lol
We are supposed to close on the 9th. Final packing & loading up that weekend. Hoping to head out the 12th since we won't have anything in the house. We can spend the night at the neighbors.
Coming soon, it seemed so overwhelming and now itís but weeks away

Need to put away Thanksgiving & Hallowe'en decor & bring out Christmas stuff. Already have some out. Need to get another tote for October stuff......
Canadians are in Christmas mode..donít know how you American friends deal with 2 major events in no more than a month.
Iím back to getting more totes from back shed, drizzling a bit but I wonít melt.
Iíve got a group coming in tomorrow for Christmas craft but still have a weekend goal which is getting moms cross stitch off the frame, doubtful but one has to have a goal
Pat hope you get water
Susan, saw photo of Bom on Halloween, tell him he is looking good.
LIndakay were you able to find greenery while in San Antonio?
I did not have time to stop, my Dr. appointment went long and I had to get back home, but I have to go back next Tuesday to see the specialist for my tummy problems. Dr. here ordered all kinds of test to see what could be the problem, but she won't give me the results. :( So I will get them then. I looked at our walmart, and what little they have looked pitiful.
Likely get at a hobby lobby and or Michaels LIndakay..
Here is hoping you get answers, know what it is like when you are Iíll and no cause found!
With the workshop tomorrow is making a snowman block I decided to put up my snowman tree in the basement..most decorations are snowmen, canít seem to find the tree skirt that goes with it..going to look through ohotoís to see if I can find photo of what it looked like..making headway..who knows, next trip to back shed might be upstairs trees calling for me to bring them in
got 1/2" of wet snow overnight - nothing on the roadway, and can still see grass through it, but if you can gather enough, it's snowball snow 😜
Going to Physio today for my feet - will tell her that the "exercise" she gave me for my hurting hip isn't helping. Has been increasing hurting for 3 weeks now.
Betty - I'll tell Bob you liked his costume. Yeah, he's one scary dude 🤣
Thad a busy week last week, with a couple of sewing classes, getting Christmas out of back shed and a Saturday workshop and Sunday in Barrie for craft show sooo
Decided that this week I wouldnít overdo but would get a few unfinished sewing and woodworking projects completed.
Not sure if I said it on this post but a few friends and I will have a country home craft sale here dec.1st so need some inventory..first year so we will see if anyone comes, am sure many want to go to big craft events, not small house ones so we will see.
We have a local Tay Gazette, I paid for 2 ads, one over weekend and one in 2 weeks
As well as a few posters..itís more for us gals and gent to get together before Christmas and chat if nothing else..
With the quality of items I've seen you do, Betty, and what I've seen your students do, I'm sure you'll be very successful in your endeavours!
Feeling grumpy today, so I'm taking a ME day and even staying home from the Craft Group. I'm quitting the secretarial position @ the Community Centre - it's toxic, and I refuse to stay somewhere that is only dragging me down. I'm old enough not to put up with the president's wife's belittling and bullying tactics. If she wants to do my job, good luck! She's not allowed to be the secretary, when her hubby's the president but I'm not going to get into a power struggle - not worth my effort/time/stress level. I have enough going on in my life that I don't need to take on more, for sure!
Been sewing up a storm, trying to get some throws done so that I have things for my Dec 1st sale here..in the a.m. will take photoís for yo
Today I will cut out snowman faces for wreaths, have a friend doing 5 and I one, hoping for enough wood left over so I can cut tree trio so that I can have my 3 nieces over to do a craft for their mom.
Must get the pieces out of the bin I set them in..
Are you all working on something?
I finally for the greenery for our tutorial you posted. All I need is the craft foam for the base.
Not foamĒLIndakay, itís cardboard canvas from $$$ store
I just finished hand sewing bind8ng on a small table topper..cut out 6 snowman heads and now off to cut out trees
I've finished 2 prayer shawls - one for a neighbour and one for church. Now I'm making another one for a friend who's been in the hospital for a month. They don't know what's wrong with her and running the gamit of tests (including cancer). Poor Joan - nothing like not knowing what's wrong with you.....
Happy Thanksgiving to all. May you be as blessed as I am.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well Sue!
Are you deep into baking and cooking?
I spent Thanksgiving cleaning and cooking.
Been quilting 2 quilts a day for the past to week to get ahead of all the 'quilts for Christmas', only have 9 to go, as of Saturday.
In the midst of a blizzard here, going to sew for myself today, if the power doesn't go out.
Please post photos of your quilts when you get the chance. We would love to see them.
Sue, that is a lot of standing..up till when will you take in quilts to do for Christmas..guess no time for your own..mild here today and raining, hard to believe youíve the snowstorm.
Knieces did Xmas projects this morning, tried to explain to the one that after her primitive tree was together that she could open up branches..she proceeded to tell me not all trees in forest areopenlol. Nope, not going for it!
Betty, I know there are 2 more that haven't come in, I think my boss has cut off the quilts already, but i know that she knows i am getting them done. There are still 3+ weeks till Christmas so we will see. They have to have time to get them bound!
Fortunately standing has never bothered me.
Linda Kay, these are quilts for customers, not mine. Betty is right, I just don't have time for my own projects right now.
Sue, do customers prefer to bind the quilts or do you do that as well.
Iíve just got to get back to moms cross stitch that is on the frame..backing,batting,bind8ng and quilt8ng will be her Xmas gift sooo should ear mark a couple hours a day towards quilting.
Goal for this afternoon is painting wording on 4 candle holders this afternoon
4 was for sale Saturday but think my sister wants 2-3 of them
lol Betty - funny on her not understanding that she could open the tree branches!
Sue - understand what you mean about not having time for your own projects. I've been doing everyone's prayer shawls (for friends and church). I've got a lap quilt for a friend to do after this last prayer shawl, and Then I can work on my own quilt.
Spent a blizzardy day up in my sewing room, mostly cleaning.
Most customers want to bind their own. We have a few that prefer us to do the binding, so we will also do that for those that want us to.
Yep Susan, sure understand.
Got worn out from NOT finding the material I was searching for, so took a nap! Wonderful!!!
Cyber Monday is coming up tomorrow - anyone here buy on that day?
I never buy anything online, not even from Amazon
Never buy online either, always like to see quality and texture.
Iím done with christas shopping anyway, anything I get from here on in is extras, am sure some of those things will come up from now to dec.25
Lots to work on over next few days so best I get at it
