Yes, Sweet Joe-pye Weed (Eutrochium purpureum)

Prevalent on roadsides and disturbed areas of N. GA.. We have lots growing on our stepped embankments and meadows after each renovation and then they decline until competitive natives (blackberries, mulleins, milkweed, poke, etc.) are removed. Always covered in so many butterflies and moths as mentioned.
