SOLVED: Took a wrong turn in Blum, Teas

Fort Worth, TX

Does anyone ID this plant. I took a wrong turn looking for Nolan river and saw these beautiful 3-4 inch high purple flowers (bulbs?). They look like they naturalized and were all over the front of a house

This is Muscari, a bulbous plant.

Fort Worth, TX

That is it. I was in a hurry or I would have knocked on the door of the house to see if I could did up a couple to take home. It had spread to the vacant lot next door and was really pretty. I'm going to get some. Thanks!!!

Commonly called grape hyacinth - Probably Muscari armeniacum which is sold at some nurseries in bag with lots of bulbs. They form colonies as you observed in that yard. Here in San Antonio, TX, they bloom at the end of February or early March for only a short period of time.
