Leafy green ID?

Minneapolis, MN

This plant is a volunteer coming up in Minneapolis, MN. It is strikingly green on the underside and purple/red on its top side. The prior owners of this home mentioned having shiso (akajiso) but the leaf shape doesn’t seem to match the normal shiso shape so I think this must be something else.

My current theory is this is Mizuna Ruby Streaks mustard based on coloration, though the body of this plant is much thicker than any photo I can find online of the mizuna which is usually quite spindly. Maybe shiso crossed with mizuna? Not sure if they can x-pollinate.

Looks like the spring mix lettuce I've bought in the past that often comes up the next spring from seed. Seems to thin out after a couple of years though unlike what you are presented with.

Photo from two years ago from seed sown. Last year I had a few, this year only one so far.
