SOLVED: At a loss

Adamstown, MD

This shrub was planted last fall just before we moved in. It went bare over the winter, and now looks like this, so it is deciduous. The leaves just recently bronzed probably because our weather has been warm and then went nearly to freezing a couple nights in a row. The leaves look like they grow in pairs opposite each other on the upright stems. I can't tell if it will flower, but I'm wanting to find out what it is, so I know whether to keep and transplant or get rid of it. Any help would be appreciated!
