SOLVED: ID this poorly maintained plant?

San Francisco, CA(Zone 10b)

This poor plant went a long time without being repotted, and lost most of its fronds. Once I repotted it, the new foliage is nice and glossy, but it's gotten too tall for my taste, so I want to propagate it and/or re-root it, but I'd also like to know what it is…

Quite similar, yes, but mine doesn't have a hint of the coloration.

Bingo! Thank you.

Dracaena was my other choice remembering the "lucky bamboo" sold at stores, then got side tracked remembering the red Ti trees we had in our yard in Florida.
