SOLVED: Not sure what this is

Is this a viburnum? My friend had this in her yard and she did not know what it is.

Hi tucker22:

I'm pretty sure your friend has a shrubby Dogwood species (Cornus sp.) there, not a Viburnum sp.

Take a closer look - or have a clear closeup photo taken - of the blooms. I think you will see that the individual flowers have four petals. That is typical of Dogwood, while Viburnum will typically have 5 petals.

Thank you so much. I believe it is a dogwood!
