I found this the other day on walk around my area and could not find it on any other website. Any ideas - it has been ID before on this forum.
SOLVED: Thorny shrub with red cluster
Those flower buds look like an Erythrina to me which is native to Australia. There are tons of them with varying colors of red/orange/pinkish.
Maybe Erythrina herbacea which is thorny and has distinctive leaves similar to yours and can bloom along the stem.
