I want to create a outdoor kitchen, has anyone put one in their yard before?
I have. I put in an Earthstone pizza oven and designed the masonry chimney and wood storage. The actual oven is shaped like a miniature igloo so you can create your own design around it.. The counters are bluestone which I believe you call basalt. The covered area has a built in stainless Viking grill with rotisserie and smoker and two independent Viking gas burners with cast iron grates. We also have a separate, dedicated smoker. There's a commercial stainless deep restaurant sink. It comes in handy for potting and garden clean up. The counters are also bluestone. The cabinets and framing are cedar and the roof is metal standing seam. It's now twenty five years old.
