SOLVED: What is this perennial?

Victoria, Canada

This perennial has similar foliage to a hardy geranium. It flowers in late April/May in zone 8, Pacific Northwest. The flowers are small, delicate creamy yellow and held on slender stalks about 18" above the foliage. A friend called it a "pearl plant".
