SOLVED: Mystery Tree

Sunnyvale, CA

CLOSED

There's a line of these unusual trees growing along a street in Sunnyvale, CA. Does anyone know the name?

Thanks, ZilyZily! You are definitely correct. What a wonderful resource this is. I want to know the name of every plant I see.

Looks like the Australian tree Brachychiton populneus, a bottle tree so the trunk is going to get even cooler with time! https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/465343/#gallery-carousel

You are welcome Kimmy. I have an indecent love affair going on with all the Brachychitons.

This site would be so much better if they didn't let all the advertisement posts on these threads stay.

You should look up the other Brachychiton species out there not to mention the cultivars. They sport such cool seedpods too.
