About to bloom-is this a tall phlox? Thank
SOLVED: PLANT IDENTIFACTION
I have bought 'tall garden phlox' seeds in past years, Phlox paniculata
It is a phlox. I am just not sure which.
Great, thank you! I picked a piece from a neighbor's plant who wasn't sure what the plant was. I don't need to know which variety. Thank you! Happy it's blooming in it first year.
Of course I had to go back and look. I saw a couple of photos of Phlox carolina that had your wider leaves. But who knows. Not me. I read the leaves can be highly variable.
I tried to figure it out by reading this but my eyes soon glazed over.

The pictures in the article look just look the mature plants, several years old. The flowers are a few different shades of pink/purple and white. I appreciate your input and knowledge!
Here is a picture of Phlox carolina, like yours.
