these guys come back from the root each spring. they grow like pumpkins and make 2" spherical gourds that you probably would not want for harvest displays or crafts, because there are some that are much better for those things.
what are they, and do you want some seeds? i would like zone 7b hardy succulents or cactus or perennial vegetables but you can have some seeds regardless.
