I have a star begonia as a hanging plant for the last 25yrs. It is now pot bound. Is there any way of splitting this plant to have smaller plants..

Thank You

I just repotted mine because it had outgrown its hanging basket and looked a wee bit sad. When I did so, several small tuberous growths came off from the main part of the plant. I stuck them in small containers and am hoping that they survive, I did not attempt to divide it. Last year a couple of small tubers with roots grew outside of the container. I cut them off and potted them. 2 rotted because I think that I planted them too deeply. The other 2 survived and I gave them to friends. I hope I repotted it properly. It looks like it is doing okay after 2 weeks. Only time will tell. maybe someone will come along here to answer your question. I will ask the lady who gave it to me for you when I see her.
