Good use for old mini blinds

Toledo, OR(Zone 8a)

After making my roman shade I had four sets of mini blind that I just held on to just incase I needed them. Well, I found a good use for them. How do you like my picket fence?

I wove them threw 20 gauge chicken wire. A little tedious but I think it looks kinda neat and made do with what I had.

One more close up. This is my first vegie garden. I hope it turns out to be as much fun as building it was.

You can also use them as plant markers!!!

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Great fence and white stripes should help deter the deer. Luck on your veggies. Looks great so far.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

very clever.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

nice jan! great idea. I also use them as plant markers & price tags at the Farmers Market as Crimson said.

Good luck on your first veggie garden, nothing like home grown veggies!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Wow --Never would have thought of that. I've seen chain link fences with slatting weaved through them - was that your inspiration?

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

Wow! Patience is right. And would you like some more plants to care for, cause it looks like you have WAY too much free time!
